Backend Engineer - Node.js / Hybrid role in Wrocław

About the role:

Mission - It's a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of our cutting-edge systems. You will tackle complex challenges and drive the development of our backend infrastructure with a laser focus on maintainability, scalability, and high performance.

You will collaborate with a team of seasoned engineers to architect and implement robust APIs, enhance database efficiency, and ensure seamless integration across a diverse array of platforms. You will deliver a reliable and seamless experience to our users, empowering them to navigate the complex world of crypto compliance easily.

Tasks
  • You will be solving problems from a holistic perspective with a focus on the backend part.
  • Explore new ways of building and optimizing a scalable and quick system
  • We aim for a “you build it, you run it” environment, where you will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • You will be involved in the product firsthand, proposing solutions and enhancements to make it go from great to brilliant
  • Help us maintain and care about our tech stack: allow time to refactor and ensure the code is maintainable and scalable
Requirements
  • 4+ years of full-time Backend Software Engineering experience
  • Solid knowledge and experience working with REST APIs and WebSockets
  • Writing well-organised, efficient, and easily testable code
  • Proficiency in NodeJS and Javascript/Typescript development

Nice to have:

  • Experience with NestJS
  • Genuine interest in blockchain technology, you are up-to-date with new trends
  • Knowledge of design patterns and when to apply them
  • GCP / IaC using Terraform
  • Knowledge of React

Cense is a B2B SaaS enabling financial institutions to comply with AML and CFT regulation as it relates to crypto, particularly ahead of new regulation (MiCA) in 2024.

CENSE AG sells software to financial institutions to facilitate crypto compliance as it relates to Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism, and Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation rules.

MiCA will come into play in July 2024, enforcing stricter compliance in crypto assets within financial institutions in Europe, many of which will be left unprepared.

Our software mitigates an institution’s exposure to massive regulatory fines, reduces operational costs, increases operational efficiency and accuracy, and increases dollar inflow to the balance sheet.
