What you will be doing

We are looking for an experienced and people oriented General Ledger Team Leader. The General Ledger (GL) department holds a critical role within the RGBS in Poznan. The team is responsible for compliant handling of the general ledger, period close and all engagements related hereto, which involves natural interaction with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

Leading and coaching a team of General Ledger accountants to deliver daily and month-end close tasks ensuring operating procedures are adhered and targets met

Complying with internal policies, SLA and external legislation

Maintaining internal controls (own processes)

Planning & executing period close (incl. review of team work performed and group reporting)

Preparing audit files and facilitating audits (internal and external)

Participating in group projects

Managing stakeholder relationships

Focal point of contact for the local team e.g. at escalations during the daily process

Carrying out recruitment, assessment and development conversations

Identifying potential process improvements

What you bring  

University graduate in Finance

Minimum of 5 years working experience and 2 years in a leadership position

Advanced knowledge of accounting rules and controls

Experience in SSC/BPO

Strong affinity with automation and ERP systems

English - Advanced (C1, C2). German is a plus

Strong accounting knowledge (Polish GAAP or IRFS)

Strong leadership skills

Strong affinity with automation and standardization
