Join us for an exciting and challenging role as Financial Operations Accountant, Record to Report in our Shared Service Centre in Warsaw - in a setting where knowledge is shared, and responsibility is given to those who can and will.
The VELUX Group is a global company with manufacturing and sales operations in more than 40 countries. We are present in Poland from 34 years and we are growing further within our Shared Services.
Your responsibilities
Providing guidance and support regarding G/L balances, balance sheet reconciliations, preparing relevant journal entries and resolving issues
Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Ensure all close activities are complete, signed off, and books are closed per established close calendar
Full ownership of payroll activities (posting and reconciliation)
Manage fixed assets
Calculate and declare local taxes
Participating in transition of new financial activities from local markets
Involvement in SAP 4HANA transition
Provide support to financial statements preparation and assist in audits
Participating in local and global projects, implementation of process changes and system enhancements
Coordinate with various departments to ensure financial records are accurate and completed in a timely manner
Providing support to business markets within the European operations (close cooperation with Finance Managers) of VELUX Group and outsourced operations in India (VOI)
Acting as bridge and counsellor in more complex dilemmas to move things forward
Your qualifications
You are a problem solver with a strong attention to details and feeling of ownership and responsibility for the tasks and projects.
More exactly, we are looking for the following professional skills:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Finance working within SSC/BPO
Good knowledge of Record to Report process and financial accounting
Hands on experience in driving continuous improvements and obtained accounting qualifications are additional assets
Fluent communication in English as a must (German, French or other European language will be an asset)
An ownership mentality; willingness to roll up the sleeves and drive resolution of complex financial dilemmas
Prior work experience with moving process to SAP 4HANA will be an asset
Proficiency in the use of Excel
Self-driven, proactive and flexible
Clear communication skills and a constructive mindset towards challenges
A team player, with can do attitude
