Job Description

As a member of the IT Infrastructure Support Team at Eurofins Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe, you will play a crucial role in a dynamic and growing international team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead strategic IT infrastructure projects that significantly impact our business operations. This role offers substantial exposure to business leadership and requires strong stakeholder management, interfacing with both internal and external parties. You will be at the forefront of driving major IT infrastructure transitions and transformations across our Food, Feed, and Agro Testing businesses in Europe.

In this position, you will manage, monitor, and deliver multiple interconnected IT infrastructure projects. Your tasks will include installations, configurations, and migrations of enterprise-level IT systems and software, such as Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, cloud solutions (Azure, Amazon), Active Directory, Office 365, and various network and security components. You will define project scope, estimate budgets, allocate resources, and ensure seamless communication and cooperation within the team.

You will identify project delivery risks and issues, establish mitigation strategies, and communicate effectively to ensure progress. Your ownership of project schedules and budgets will be crucial, and you will ensure that all deliverables meet high-quality standards within the agreed scope and timeline. You will establish delivery monitoring controls and governance mechanisms to guide multiple cross-organizational teams and suppliers, aiming to deliver projects with a strong return on investment.

In addition, you will prepare and present periodic decision-making materials to senior executive management, ensuring all activities align with agreed policies, best practices, and standards. Your leadership will inspire and motivate teams, driving projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record of managing complex IT infrastructure projects, especially in integration, post-acquisition, transition, or carve-out scenarios within an international organization . Your analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills will be essential, and you should be able to showcase these through various business situations.

You should possess strong project leadership abilities and effective team communication skills, focusing on building lasting, trusted partnerships through written and verbal communications and presentations. Experience in agile/rapid development methodologies and a deep understanding of IT Quality Management Systems and Waterfall Methodology are essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other project management tools is required. You should be capable of working in a fluid environment, delivering results by influencing resources outside the traditional hierarchy. Your experience should include managing geographically dispersed teams, both local and remote.

Fluency in English is a must, with business-level communication skills in German . You should be willing to travel frequently throughout Europe and have a positive, fun approach to tackling challenges in a demanding environment.
