Main purpose of the position
As a Junior BI Analyst in Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC), you will support the Operational BI team by analyzing survey data, engaging with stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements, and assisting (and further taking over) in the creation and maintenance of reports using Tableau. Key expectations include ensuring data validation and integrity, communicating effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs, and demonstrating a proactive attitude towards learning and growth in the BI field, all while contributing to improved stakeholder insights and operational efficiency
What you’ll do:
Analyze survey data to extract actionable insights and trends. Utilize Tableau and other tools to visualize data in a meaningful way that facilitates decision-making Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements, preferences and challenges. Translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements Conduct thorough data validation checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of survey data. Identify and address discrepancies or anomalies in the data to maintain data integrity and assure quality Develop and customize reports using Tableau. Collaborate with senior BI analysts to create visually compelling and informative reports tailored to stakeholder needs Gain familiarity with data structures, including star schema and other database concepts. Appy this understanding to navigate and interpret survey data effectively Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Proactively seek opportunities to expand knowledge of BI tools, survey methodologies and data analysis techniquesWho you’ll work with:
Back-end (Data Warehouse) team – collaborate closely with the backend team to ensure data integrity, seamless integration and efficient data processing Other BI Analysts – work alongside other BI analysts to develop and maintain reports, share best practices, and support each other in data-related tasks Survey analytics & customer insights team – engage with the subject matter experts to understand data collection methods, survey design, and report requirements Account (client) teams – support the account teams by addressing data-related queries and ensure client satisfaction through accurate and timely reportingKey qualifications:
Currently pursuing or completed a degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related discipline Some experience through internships, academic projects, or entry-level roles in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field is preferred Basic proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau and a good understanding of MS Excel. Familiarity with data visualization concepts and techniques is a plus Basic SQL knowledge is nice to have, along with understanding of data modelling concepts such as star schema Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in data validation and quality assurance processes. Ability to identify and rectify data discrepancies accuratelyPersonal skills you excel:
