Kraków, Polska Finsbury Food Group Pełny etat

Location: Nicholas & Harris, Brunel Road, Churchfields Industrial Estate, Salisbury, SP2 7PU

Shift: 4 on, 4 off - 6pm until 6am

Salary: Competitive with Opportunities for Growth

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Operations Team as 'Front Line Manager' at our Nicholas & Harris site as part of 'Finsbury Food Group'. Nicholas & Harris has over 180 years of heritage in craft baking methods. If you like artisinal, organic and speciality breads, or have special dietary preferences, our bakery in Salisbury has you covered

To be successful in this role, experience leading and managing a team is essential, ideally within an FMCG environment. Reporting into the Shift Manager, as part of a management team of 3; you will possess a positive, can do attitude with a vision to continually maintain and improve the highest standards throughout your day-to-day, ensuring we are delivering our nationally recognised high quality products to all of our mainstream retail customers, such as Tesco, Waitrose and Co-op, to name but a few

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join one of the UK’s leading bakery businesses, with great opportunities for growth and development, both at a site and group level.

This is what you’ll actually do

As 'Front Line Manager', you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our Bakery in Salisbury, working closely with the management team and different departments such as Technical, Hygiene and Despatch. A key focus of yours will be to maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety practice across the team, ensuring we are delivering exceptional customer service to all visitors whether that be internal or customer, while also maintaining cost effective practice so we continue to meet group driven targets.

We are looking for someone who has a strong background managing a team. We operate an incredibly fast paced working environment, where no 2 days are ever the same. The people in our Bakery are detrimental to the success of our business, and it is your role to ensure we are managing expectations, challenging when required and leading from the front.

You will be responsible for managing absence levels, monitoring performance, developing the skills of our operatives and improving turnover through effective recruitment and onboarding; giving our teams the very best introduction to Finsbury, while demonstrating our core values of Teamwork, Ownership, Communication, Honesty and Respect.

As a food manufacturer, part of your role will include managing labour costs against budget, liaising with the Shift Manager and on-site agency to ensure each day we are well prepared and manned to meet demand. You will be able to adapt to continuous change and improvement which may impact your day-to-day, owning any and all hurdles that are thrown at you with a proactive way of thinking. Experience working within an FMCG environment would be desirable, however not essential as full training would be given.

Excellent communication skills are must when carrying out your role as 'Front Line Manager'; you will be the main go to for any issues on shift that may occur and will be expected to liaise with key stakeholders in a timely manner, mitigating any risk to operation and/or demand. We use multiple different systems on a day-to-day basis, so possessing IT skills is vitally important to the success of this role.
