How will your role look like?

The Design Delivery Specialist partners with Design and multi-discipline internal/external partners on packaging artwork projects throughout the design development and design execution. Responsible for enabling design intent realization, ensuring technical fit-for-use and print feasibility, leads design intent implementation and ensures quality and consistent visual execution across all product forms and variants in packaging.

This role requires a fundamental understanding of design, brand identity and design standards/guidelines, combined with understanding of standard industry pre-press & printing knowledge, materials & substrates, and artwork file construction/requirements. Strong, proven leadership, communication, collaboration, influencing, and project management skills required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implement 2D package design executions with mastery, working with multifunctional (internal & external) initiative teams.
  • Apply deep understanding of supply chain fit-for-use requirements, pre-press & printing, and print feasibility to ensure design intent realization.
  • Partner with pre-press & printers and Design Delivery resources to assess print feasibility of design concepts, identify alternate solutions, plan & attend print trials, confirm final design intent print feasibility, ensure visual consistency delivered at shelf, and resolve quality issues.
  • Plan and manage design execution work and critical path schedule, elevating issues, with implications, to key business partners, at-the-right-time, to enable informed decision-making and effective resolution, and drive timely/on-quality artwork file delivery.
  • Manage projects within WebCenter, a graphics lifecycle management tool. Provide low-level support regarding WebCenter to the multi-functional team.
  • Deliver Core Packaging Work, utilizing BIC processes, technology, tools.
  • Independently and collaboratively bring innovative ideas/search & reapply learning that drive continual improvements in quality, productivity and efficiency.
  • Proactively explore both cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities. Accurately measure all Design Delivery metrics on a quarterly/annual basis.
  • Build capability & mastery in self and Design delivery community, and actively drive organization/company process transformation efforts.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Design-related field.
  • English proficiency, verbal and written.
  • Experience in design production and printing (Design Agency, Pre-Press Agency, Production House, Printer) within the CPG industry (preferred). Understanding of graphic file construction within Illustrator & Photoshop is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of pre-press and printing and artwork file industry standards, print production, print processes and press capabilities, inks, materials/substrates, specialty inks/finishes, proofing, and print trials.
  • Understanding of the color management, color development process, spectral color data and digital proofing. Munsell Test score of 'Average Discrimination' minimum, 'Superior Discrimination' preferred.
  • Strong understanding of brand architecture, design language/identity systems, equity assets and application of design principles to achieve visual consistency.
