At TikTok, our commitment to fostering a safe and sustainable workplace transcends borders. We are looking for a candidate to join TikTok's H&S service in Poland. The candidate must meet the requirements set forth by Polish law for the role of a Senior H&S Inspector (starszy inspektorem do spraw bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy) or higher. The candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the responsibilities of the H&S services as required by law.

The EHS team has members strategically placed in London, the USA, Singapore, and China. This team collaboratively applies our company values to every aspect of their work, ensuring a consistent dedication to the highest industry standards and best practices. Beyond compliance, the EHS team promotes a safety culture across all TikTok offices and ByteDance Operations.

The ideal candidate will implement and maintain health and safety protocols in Poland, ensuring legislation compliance and supporting the EHS operations and activities across the EMEA region. This role requires the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have strong technological proficiency. Responsibilities:
  1. Inspection of working conditions and compliance with EHS regulations and principles.
  2. Keeping the employer informed about identified occupational hazards.
  3. Preparing and presenting periodic analyses of the state of EHS to the employer.
  4. Presenting proposals regarding compliance with ergonomic requirements at work stations.
  5. Participation in the development of company collective labor agreements, internal orders, regulations, and general instructions regarding occupational health and safety.
  6. Giving opinions on detailed instructions regarding occupational health and safety at individual workstations.
  7. Participation in determining the circumstances and causes of accidents at work.
  8. Participation in assessing the occupational risk associated with the work performed.
  9. Participating in consultations on occupational health and safety, and in the work of occupational health and safety committees.
  10. Support ByteDance EMEA EHS Operations as required, including Real Estate Projects, incident response, policy and process development, and compliance audit programming.
  11. Provide competent Health & Safety support to ByteDance EMEA stakeholders (Admin, Facilities, Security, HR, Business Leaders, Legal).
  12. Undertake and review risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities.
  13. Manage and drive continuous improvement to the Poland and EMEA-wide EHS program.
  14. Review safety plans for emergencies, special events, and other unique safety situations.
  15. Manage and investigate incidents and injury claims and drive corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
  16. Liaise and report to authorities as necessary.
  17. Collaborate with the Works Council and lead the H&S Committee.
  18. Design and deliver mandatory H&S training for new starters.

We are looking for a candidate to join TikTok's EHS service on a part-time basis. However, there is an opportunity for full-time engagement if the candidate is willing and capable to additionally take the part-time role in TikTok EMEA EHS team and support the company's EHS team across EMEA.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Academic or Postgraduate Education in Occupational Health and Safety acquired in Poland. The title of Occupational Health and Safety Technician and at least 3 years work experience in the Occupational Health and Safety service.
  2. Alternatively, higher education in a field or specialty in the field of Occupational Health and Safety or Postgraduate studies in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.
  3. Approximately 4 years in Occupational Health & Safety.
  4. Fluency in Polish and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Good knowledge of the Polish Labour Code, EHS regulations, and best EHS practices.
  2. Additional health and safety experience across the wider EMEA region is beneficial.
  3. Proven expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive EHS safety programs, processes, and procedures.
  4. Considerable knowledge of safety and health regulatory laws and practices related to accidents, incident investigations, and reporting.
  5. Ability to interact effectively and cultivate strong relationships with peers, key stakeholders, and business leaders.
  6. Strong project management skills with experience of managing complex EHS projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Strong capability of using IT tools.
  9. Strong organisational skills.
