Job Description

We are seeking a Tender Technical Specialist to join our Polish Operation Center team, requiring excellent engineering skills and a can-do culture. This unique opportunity enables you to transform your work into tangible products.

The Technical Tender Specialist functions as a technical expert responsible for hardware and third-party software of proposed solutions, focusing on cyber security requirements targeting the Enterprise Software EMEA region for Network Control. Collaboration is key, working closely with the Technical Lead and Proposal team.

This role involves extensive interactions with partners, other Hitachi Energy units, and the local Enterprise Software office. A significant challenge lies in assembling complex proposals involving multiple parties and advanced business setups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project activities to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for hardware or third-party software or cyber security requirements of proposed solutions.
  • Respond to customer specifications regarding hardware and third-party software aspects.
  • Prepare tender documentation explaining hardware and third-party delivery, limiting scope of work.
  • Estimate hardware and third-party software cost estimates, including time for mounting, installation, and configuration of systems.
  • Identify and quantify technical and project implementation risks.
  • Responsible for implementation effort estimates, expenses, and contractors.
  • Define competitive hardware/system solution strategies meeting customer requirements, in cooperation with pre-sales and Tech Lead.
  • Analyze technical risks and project implementation risks.
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Professional working experience from similar roles such as sales, key account management, technical lead, or other roles where documented experience from offering complex systems including software, hardware, and service.
  • At least 3 years of experience from relevant employment.
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Understanding of commercial database management products, especially Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • An understanding of cyber security best practices.
  • Ability to lead and motivate internal and external teams.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with SCADA, EMS, or DMS systems or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Prior experience in a presale role, offers preparation including HW/SW solutions.
  • Experience with hardware equipment configuration (servers, workstations, etc.) and third-party software integration and configuration.
