Offer Description

The person in the position of Research and Teaching Assistant will be responsible for conducting exercises and laboratories in the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Power Engineering, with special emphasis on modern computer techniques for modelling thermodynamic and heat transfer processes. The main directions of the candidate's future activities should include research and design in the indicated discipline, including designing scientific and teaching workstations for research in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and renewable energy sources, conducting development work, preparing publications, and involvement in the acquisition and implementation of research projects in the Department of Thermodynamics and Renewable Energy Sources.

Skills/Qualifications:

  1. Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy Discipline or in Engineering and Technical Sciences.
  2. Scientific achievements documented by publications in world-renowned journals (MEiN list, Philadelphia list).
  3. Special interests in thermodynamics and heat exchange.
  4. Experience in implementation of research projects.
  5. At least 2 years of documented teaching experience.
  6. Knowledge of English and very good knowledge of Polish.
  7. Diligence, conscientiousness, and ability to work in a team.

Specific Requirements:

  1. Participate in scientific research and development work and prepare publications.
  2. Cultivate and educate students.
  3. Teach students in subjects including Basics of Thermodynamics, Theory of Thermal Machines, and more.
  4. Modernize and develop didactic and research laboratories.
  5. Prepare teaching materials.
  6. Participate in the organizational work of the University and the Faculty.
  7. Acquire and implement research projects in the Department.
  8. Improve qualifications.
