ABOUT PROCUREMENT

Part of the Supply Chain family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. JOB PURPOSE:

If you are an action-driven person who excels in operations and has strategic thinking, great negotiation skills, and is hungry to deep dive into agricultural supply chains, then this role is just for you

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE:

Operations (50%)

1. Enter contracts and manage daily end-to-end operations for Unilever supply across 20+ sites (both in-house and contract manufacturing) in Europe with the Europe planning team.
2. Address quality deviations with the factory quality team.
3. Manage supply challenges and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
4. Support flawless portfolio transfers based on Unilever's business strategy.
5. Build strong working relationships with market teams to reflect local business requirements, including service and quality, in your portfolio strategy.
6. Excel in various reporting (savings, resilience, etc.).
7. Manage compliance (e.g.: responsible sourcing, sustainable sourcing, etc.).
8. Handle payment issues and supplier onboarding, changes.

Portfolio Strategy & Negotiations (50%)

1. Conduct negotiations with competitive outcomes.
2. Analyze and develop a deep understanding of supply markets, including external economic factors, and optimize the end-to-end value chain.
3. Develop resilience plans and alternatives to ensure supply security.
4. Deliver bottom-line savings & cash by identifying and landing key opportunities.
5. Collaborate with Suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to land improvement programs.
6. Provide accurate price forecasting, including market conditions, price trends, and future market trends to enable Unilever finance proper budgeting and forecasting.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
2. Minimum 5 years of procurement or operations experience, ideally in an international environment.
3. Proficiency in supply chain systems such as SAP, Pega NPP, Anaplan, HICX, and Velocity.

Skills:

1. Great analytical and Excel skills.
2. Strong financial acumen.
3. Negotiations, experience in agricultural materials is a plus.
4. Project management.
5. Fluent in English.
