The Deputy Chief Accountant will support the Chief Accountant in managing the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with the tax advisory department to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with the tax advisory department for timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure internal control compliance.
  • Ensure timely account reconciliations and discrepancies resolution.
  • Closely work with the Chief Accountant and other departments for smooth financial operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical knowledge of SAP is an asset.
