Citi Private Bank Investment Operations Analyst – Corporate Actions and Income Payments (C10)

The Investment Operations Analyst is the intermediate level position within EMEA Private Bank Investment Operations, which provides operational support to the Private Bank Investment Business covering products like Traditional Investments, Mutual and Alternative Investment Funds, Equities, Fixed income, Foreign exchange, Derivatives, and Structured products.

The overall objective of this role is to process and monitor execution, settlement of transactions, maintain records on client accounts, and manage reference data such as securities creation/maintenance and asset pricing functions.

Job responsibilities include:

  1. Processing, verification, and record keeping for investment products based on provided documentation/instruction.
  2. Creating and processing various kinds of income events or corporate actions until final settlement.
  3. Preparing and dispatching announcement letters for income events or corporate actions.
  4. Collecting clients' instructions (in case of corporate actions) and passing them to custodians.
  5. Collecting event proceeds (cash, stock) and distributing to clients.
  6. Supporting Investment Operations in daily activities.
  7. Investigating discrepancies and ensuring strong internal controls.
  8. Supporting reconciliation efforts, identifying the root cause of potential cash/stock breaks and escalating further if needed.
  9. Identifying inconsistencies in the process and mitigating risks in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Maintaining communication and relations with internal and external key stakeholders from multiple locations.
  11. Responding to incoming inquiries related to income events and corporate actions.
  12. Supporting direct superior in escalation efforts, acting as supervisor of the process.
  13. Contributing to the completion and maintenance of procedures and SLAs.
  14. Participating and coordinating UAT testing for new systems/products or functionalities.
  15. Performing control over automated processes.
  16. Actively promoting improvement initiatives that further automate/simplify daily tasks and increase quality.
  17. Contributing to business goals.
  18. Being responsible for a variety of complex tasks delegated by superior.

If you are a motivated, dedicated person who has:

  1. Min. 2 years of experience in corporate actions (shared service center experience desired).
  2. Securities processing experience - a great asset.
  3. Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  4. Knowledge of securities and capital markets.
  5. Understanding of Investment Products and Financial Markets.
  6. Fluency in English (Polish would be an advantage).
  7. The ability to learn quickly and willingness to acquire new skills.
  8. Very good computer and MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook).
  9. Team player attitude with great communication skills and leadership potential.
  10. Understanding of working in a fast-paced environment.
