Job Description
As the Global Accounts Payable Manager you will oversee the accounts payable function across multiple regions. You will ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will also hold responsibility for Vendor Master Data team, GRIR & Debit balance analytics teams. Equally important for you will be continuous improvement approach and business transformation promoting best practices, top market standards and modern tool and technologies. You will partner with and influence strategic sourcing organization, production plants and other departments.
You will work in hybrid model of work in our Katowice office and report directly to Senior Manager, Global Process Owner - Procure to Pay.
Role will manage team of approximately 80 employees with 5+ direct reports.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions and related.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines with strong support from P2P GPO.
- Build & maintain strong relationships with colleagues and internal/external partners.
- Maintain good relations with suppliers resolving any discrepancies and ensuring timely payments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
- Create and keep up-to-date process documentation and SOPs to simplify and automate processes and achieve cooperation among the teams.
- Hire, train, and mentor accounts payable staff to guarantee a high-performing team.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Oversee the monthly closing of financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and reports.
- Oversee and solve deficiencies of the process by discovering, describing and removing root causes.
- Along with P2P GPO create a modern mindset and environment in AP with end goal to support global proactive spend management, working capital improvement and cash management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Team management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Proficient in English – spoken and written min B2.
- Experience managing accounts payable functions across multiple regions or countries.
- Experience or good understanding of procurement and end-to-end P2P process.
- SAP knowledge.
