Job Description

The Role:

We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our growing team and work across all areas of our product portfolio. The Credit Controller will be responsible for providing our services in the most timely, compliant and efficient manner, while meeting personal and team targets and ensuring that the highest levels of quality and efficiency are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of live, current and overdue debit balance customer accounts
  2. Upload customers' invoices to external portals such as Ariba, Coupa etc. or send them out via email
  3. Review assigned accounts regularly, proactively work with customers to highlight upcoming due dates
  4. Resolve collections issues, disputes and queries to secure timely payment
  5. Document progress on customers' accounts in the JDE collection module
  6. Work with internal and external parties to facilitate effective collection of outstanding receivables
  7. Cooperate with Billing on creating credit memos as required
  8. Offset credits against debits on customers' accounts
  9. Provide a professional level of customer service to external customers and internal business partners
  10. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual Accounts Receivables ledger close
  11. Escalate issues to manager and other Strategy staff when required
  12. Ensure compliance with all established internal controls
  13. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley key controls in areas of responsibility
  14. Assist in fulfilling requirements of financial audits in compliance with SOX

Who we look for:

  1. 1-2 years of experience working in accounting positions (Accounts Receivable/Credit Control experience desired)
  2. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  3. Experience in handling high volume account portfolios and balancing multiple priorities
  4. Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Persistency and 'can do' attitude
  6. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of the team
  7. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  8. Appropriate handling of confidential information
  9. Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  10. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  11. Proven track of working in multinational environment dealing with internal and external customers
