As an IT Demand Planner, you will be responsible for managing and analysing the organisation's new demand within the total IT Portfolio to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. The IT New Demand Planner will play a crucial role in optimizing our IT resource allocation and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This position will involve collaborating closely with various departments within the organization to understand upcoming IT needs, forecast demand for IT resources, and develop strategies to efficiently meet those demands. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

responsibilities :
Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to understand upcoming IT initiatives, projects, and resource requirements.
Develop and maintain demand forecasts and plans for IT resources such as hardware, software, infrastructure, and manpower.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to meet demand while optimizing costs.
Identify potential risks and constraints in meeting demand and propose solutions to mitigate them.
Continuously monitor and evaluate demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Generate regular reports and insights on IT demand forecasts, resource utilization, and performance metrics for management review.

requirements-expected :
Proven experience in demand planning or IT resource management, preferably in a retail organization.
Proficiency in portfolio management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
Experience working with global teams.
Proven experience using MS Excel and other tools to structure analysis and MS PowerPoint and others to present complex findings.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyse trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT or ITIL, and experience implementing governance processes preferred.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or portfolio management (e.g., PfMP) is a plus.
Highly computer literate.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer focused approach.
Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
Able to prioritise, organise and deliver a complex and changing workload under pressure, independently and to tight deadlines.
Ability to guide and influence the development of junior colleagues through best practice in the discipline.
Experience of change management practices.
Experience of project management practices.
