About the Role We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic direction. You will shape our engineering culture, drive technical excellence, and work closely with senior leadership to influence the company's strategic direction . This is an independent leadership role with real impact, involving direct collaboration with the board and company founders. This role requires deep expertise in modern frontend technologies, strong leadership skills, and experience working with enterprise-level clients on large-scale implementations — along with a strong understanding of business needs. Our requirements 10 years of professional experience with React and Next.js (must-have) Proven experience working with enterprise clients, large-scale e-commerce platforms, and complex implementations Strong background in frontend architecture and performance optimization for large applications Experience deploying and maintaining applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Hands-on experience leading engineering teams in production environments A technology expert who also understands business needs , delivery pressures, and enterprise realities Experience collaborating with enterprise organizations and stakeholders Open-source contributions or personal projects (nice-to-have), including experience developing and maintaining internal company open-source projects Passion for technology, leadership, and building high-performing engineering teams Scope of responsibilities Lead and grow a team of approximately 40 engineers , focusing on performance, growth, and engineering culture Drive technical excellence across the organization and ensure high technology standards Partner with Sales and Marketing on campaigns, marketing materials, and open-source projects based on validated ideas derived from real enterprise client pain points Actively support pre-sales and discovery processes for key accounts and strategic clients Be responsible for overall technical quality , architecture, and engineering best practices Define and execute the company's long-term technology strategy Work closely with the board and leadership team on product direction and business priorities Develop and maintain internal company open-source projects , fostering innovation, collaboration, and best practices across the engineering team What we offer Real impact on company direction and decision-making No bureaucracy — we keep things simple and efficient ️ Remote work from Poland Flexible working hours — adapt work to your lifestyle Team events and integration meetups Open, supportive environment with strong feedback culture Independent leadership role with real ownership Direct collaboration with company leadership and board members Opportunity to influence both technology and business strategy Hands-on experience contributing to internal and public open-source projects Salary ranges 25,000 – 40,000 PLN net VAT (B2B) Location Hybrid model: Warsaw office up to 2 times per month (or as needed for leadership and strategic meetings)
