About the Role We're looking for a Head of Immersive Technology - a visionary engineering leader who will set the pace of innovation at Tylko and define the future of configurability, visualization, and immersive experience in furniture design. Your mission : to build technologies that empower people to design, configure, and experience their spaces like never before.You will lead the development of our unique pre-purchase technology stack - from configurators and parametric systems to visualization, Unreal streaming, and XR tools - ensuring that configuring Tylko furniture is a truly interactive experience. Working hand in hand with the Head of Product , Head of Physical Experience , and Head of Digital Experience , you'll shape an ecosystem where hardware and software work in harmony - turning design into an intuitive, inspiring and scalable experience. You'll report directly to the CPTO and lead a cross-disciplinary engineering team operating at the intersection of product, innovation, and R&D. Once you join our team, you will be responsible for: Technology Vision & Development Driving the evolution of Tylko's configurability and visualization core technologies - including parametric engines, configurator architecture, rendering pipelines, immersive experience systems, and Unreal streaming - across web, mobile, and emerging platforms Developing next-generation space configuration technologies that combine scanning, computer vision, and AI into an integrated system enabling full-space customization Leading the design and development of internal parametric design platforms that empower R&D, design, and operations teams Elevating the display experience across all customer touchpoints -from product listings to showroom displays — ensuring consistent quality, speed, and visual excellence Innovation & AI Integration Exploring the future of XR, AI, and extended reality , including interactive AR showrooms, intelligent configurators, and AI-driven personalization Identifying emerging technologies, mapping trends and risks, and translating them into a tangible roadmap that keeps Tylko one step ahead of the industry Experimenting with advanced AI image generation and parametric modeling tools to redefine the boundaries of product and space configuration Engineering Excellence Championing clean, scalable, and modular code architecture - managing the balance between innovation and technical debt reduction Building performance monitoring systems and analytical frameworks to measure quality, efficiency, and user experience across all layers of the tech stack Ensuring seamless integration and technological alignment across immersive, eCommerce, and systems engineering teams Leadership & Culture Building, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing engineering team with expertise in graphics, computer vision, AI, parametric systems, and XR Instilling a Product Operating Model mindset — where engineering drives innovation, feasibility, and inspiration Acting as a bridge between strategic vision and technical execution — ensuring that technological development aligns with quarterly OKRs and long-term business goals Fostering a culture of curiosity, learning, and experimentation that constantly pushes the limits of what's possible Why Tylko? We also provide the following benefits for every single member: One Extra Day Off every month (outside the pool of standard days off) Comprehensive healthcare Sports card Integration events A discount on Tylko products And of course, a dog-friendly office Job requirements What we're looking for: 8 years of experience in software engineering , with deep expertise in graphics, visualization, and immersive technologies (Unreal, Unity, WebGL, rendering pipelines, XR) Proven experience leading engineering or innovation teams in tech, gaming, or design-driven environments Strong track record in developing parametric or configurable systems Hands-on technical background — comfortable prototyping, guiding development, and contributing to architectural decisions Strategic mindset with the ability to connect future trends in AI, XR, and configurability to actionable roadmaps Excellent understanding of performance, scalability, and quality standards in interactive visualization systems Experience managing complex legacy systems while building future-proof architectures Outstanding communication skills and ability to inspire both engineers and creative teams Fluent Polish and English (C1) Working from our Warsaw office 3 days a week
