Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the platform in the selection of electric motors, developing specifications for motor components, and organizing support for electrical engineering teams. They will also write design validation plans and participate in quality control activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the platform in choosing the most suitable electric motor;
  • Develop detailed specifications for each motor component, including electromechanical, control, and gear systems;
  • Organize and coordinate support for electrical engineering teams, ensuring smooth project execution;
  • Write comprehensive design validation plans for complete motor functions;
  • Participate in quality control activities, including QRQC and PDCA;
  • Collaborate with the electrical engineering team to define design of experiments (DOE) and optimize motor components;
  • Analyze test results, construct choice matrices, and present proposed solutions;
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and their impact on our products, identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Build and maintain relationships within and outside the company, promoting motor expertise and knowledge sharing.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in similar positions. A degree in electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, or physics is essential. Your skill set should include:

  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles;
  • Knowledge of brushless motors, DC motors, and related technologies;
  • Experience with project management, PLM, measurement techniques, DOE, FEA simulation, and Matlab/Simulink;
  • Familiarity with motor control systems, feedback loops, and automation tools like DSpace.
