We're seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Global DWH Engineering Team as a Data Engineer. In this role, you'll be working with vast amounts of data to drive improvements across Germany, Poland, Mexico, Italy, and Austria.

We're not only focused on data but also strive for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. To achieve this goal, we're continuously improving and converging our systems to migrate services into the public cloud. As a result, you'll have the opportunity to work with both on-premises and cloud-based services, developing, automating, and maintaining them.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team to unlock data insights and improve its usage in an efficient manner across various territories.
  • We aim to establish a modern, cloud-based data platform leveraging advanced GCP services while maintaining existing processes until they're fully migrated.
  • As a key member, you'll be responsible for development and operation of our services, both on-premise and within the cloud.
  • You will provide support to operations, taking ownership of productive processes (you build it, you run it).
  • Analyze, understand, and accompany requirements from idea generation to end-of-life (DataOps)
  • Contribute to the design of our solution, execute development, test, and document your implementation.
  • To solve complex business problems, perform comprehensive data analysis and research.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to produce high-quality KPIs from raw data.
  • Collaborate with your cross-functional agile team.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • You hold 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer handling large datasets or similar roles.
  • A clean coder with an agile mindset is essential for success in this position.
  • Mastery over massive data sets won't intimidate you.
  • You are eager to learn or already experienced with Kubernetes/OpenShift, data-related GCP services, or MapR Cluster.
  • High-quality awareness, trustworthiness, and interest in new technologies are core values we look for.
  • You excel in independent work within an agile environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills are necessary for collaboration.
