Innovative R&D Leader for HVDC Solutions

We are seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to join our team at Hitachi Energy in Kraków. As a key member of our HVDC team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented engineers and lead R&D projects focused on developing innovative solutions for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) applications.
Your Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute R&D projects aligned with our R&D portfolio management strategy, working closely with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and resource plans, conducting risk analysis and monitoring progress against project milestones and budgets.
- Proactively identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with implementing new solutions, developing risk management plans and strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Drive requirements analysis, pre-studies, solution development, and documentation of results in projects.
- As an R&D Project Manager, you will be part of the R&D Project Management Office, contributing to process improvement, quality assurance, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Your Background:
- Possess a university degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field (M.S. or Ph.D.).
- Hold >5 years of project management experience leading product development projects in high-voltage, high-power applications, MV drives, or similar fields.
- Demonstrate ability to drive the implementation of project backlogs in a transparent and efficient manner, ensuring quality and timeliness of releases.
- Be responsible for scope definition, budget estimation, and planning of R&D projects.
- Show leadership skills in managing geographically dispersed teams in a multi-site global environment.
- Demonstrate good communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills, with a passion for people and technology.
- Proficient in English, as this role requires collaboration with international colleagues.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary range of €70,000 - €110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
