Engineering Lead / Retail

Netguru is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to oversee the retail portfolio of our clients' projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating an environment that fosters outstanding results and upholds our core values.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in software delivery and be enthusiastic about leveraging their experience to empower project teams. Your primary focus will be on setting the engineering strategy for the portfolio, analyzing and improving the quality of software delivery, and supporting the pre-sales and proposal creation process.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop technical solutions that meet their expectations. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching direct reports, staying up-to-date with milestones, budgets, and project challenges, and defining priorities among stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the engineering strategy for the retail portfolio
  • Analyze and improve the quality of software delivery
  • Support the pre-sales and proposal creation process
  • Mentor and coach direct reports
  • Stay up-to-date with milestones, budgets, and project challenges
  • Define priorities among stakeholders
Requirements
  • 5 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer/Developer and at least 2 years of experience as a Leader/Manager
  • Good understanding of the software delivery life cycle
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and explanation skills
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to learn from mistakes
Technical Requirements
  • Architectural experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and best practices
  • Ability to design scalable and efficient e-commerce systems
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for both enterprise and SMB
  • Knowledge of headless commerce architecture and API-first approach
