Schaeffler, a dynamic global technology company with a rich history of private ownership, is seeking an experienced professional to join its team as a Global Network Security Architect.

As a partner to major automobile manufacturers and key players in the aerospace and industrial sectors, Schaeffler offers numerous development opportunities for ambitious individuals. This role presents a chance to conceptualize, plan, manage, and implement worldwide network projects in a secure environment, ensuring the provision, operation, and further development of the global network security platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement high-level, low-level, and operational concepts for network security, focusing on network segmentation.
  • Provide technical consulting and support to administrators and specialist departments globally.
  • Collaborate in budget planning, monitoring, and controlling service providers.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completed studies in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification with knowledge and experience gained in practice.
  • A high level of competence and 5+ years of professional experience in network security, firewall, IPS/IDS, and DMZ areas.
  • Proven expertise in network technologies, such as switching, routing, and network segmentation, including security zones and network access control.
  • Experience with leading network, security, and cloud vendors like Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet, Microsoft, or Palo Alto.
  • Basic commercial knowledge of ordering processes, service accounting, and budget planning.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Perseverance with a quality-oriented approach, ability to work abstractly, initiative, willingness to learn, and customer orientation, as well as experience in change processes.
