About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team at Svitla Systems, Inc. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality microservices
  • Manage data effectively and ensure data integrity
  • Write thorough unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Contribute to project planning and problem-solving

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience developing Java backend applications
  • Solid understanding of Spring Boot or similar frameworks and their underlying concepts
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable microservices architectures
  • Good knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles
  • Knowledge of Java 8 Date/Time API
  • Knowledge of streams and records
  • Knowledge of non-mutability and reduction of setters in favor of constructor injection
  • Knowledge of JUnit 5 and computational complexity theory
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and automated testing practices
  • Fluent English and excellent communication and collaboration skills
