Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at kdrhumanresourcesconsulting. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including electrical systems engineering activities, and working under the direction of an Engineering Group Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical systems engineering activities, including the use of ETAP.
  • Develop and maintain electrical discipline drawings and wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line and 3-line drawings, and schematics.
  • Size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations.
  • Produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope.
  • Conduct checking as required.
  • Properly interpret and apply codes & standards and customer design requirements.
  • Ability to understand and interpret local/Polish and European codes and standards.
  • Provide additional support to customers in interactions with the Transmission System Operator (TSO) through participation in virtual workshops.
  • Ability to communicate with the TSO and customer on requirements to support the switchyard design.
  • Ability to coordinate with Polish sub-contractor and review sub-contractor deliverables to support Electrical design.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a team and providing support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Grade 26: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 9 years of related electrical engineering experience.
  • Grade 27: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 13 years of related electrical engineering experience.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in country without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Professional Engineering License (Electrical).
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
  • Hands-on Microsoft office programs and other computer programs.
  • Extensive knowledge application of ANSI/IEEE Standards.
  • Extensive knowledge application of local/Polish and European codes and standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and electrical equipment layouts.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing and cable sizing.
  • Previous hands-on or extensive working knowledge with ETAP and other industry-wide electrical system design tools, such as CAD 2D, cable designing and routing software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
