Job Summary

The Power Systems Department at Raytheon Technologies is seeking a senior electrical engineer to provide technical support for the Poland Energy Storage Assembly (ESA) project. The successful candidate will serve as the on-site technical support resource person, working closely with the resident and flyaway Raytheon sub-IPT Leads, Tech Lead / Hardware Engineer / SME, Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, and corresponding personnel within WZE and their subcontractors.

The primary responsibilities of this role include technical assistance in the transfer of technology to WZE, including documentation, instrumentation, training, and other technical assistance. The candidate will also participate in day-to-day technical aspects of the production contract execution, including local and virtual meetings and reviews, assisting local personnel with ESA build, operation, test, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, dealings with suppliers, and participation/assistance in certain training provided by the core Raytheon ESA personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to the resident and flyaway Raytheon sub-IPT Leads, Tech Lead / Hardware Engineer / SME, Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, and corresponding personnel within WZE and their subcontractors.
  • Participate in day-to-day technical aspects of the production contract execution, including local and virtual meetings and reviews.
  • Assist local personnel with ESA build, operation, test, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, dealings with suppliers, and participation/assistance in certain training provided by the core Raytheon ESA personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5+ years of prior experience.
  • Circuit and Component Design, Product Development, Hands on experience with hardware manufacturability, CCA Design and Test.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hardware development experience in a DoD environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage small projects or processes.
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components.
  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs.
  • Experience in production environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
