Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to join our team at Finsbury Food Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our bakery in Salisbury, working closely with the management team and different departments such as Technical, Hygiene, and Despatch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the highest standards of Health & Safety practice across the team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors, whether internal or customer.
  • Maintain cost-effective practices to meet group-driven targets.
  • Manage absence levels, monitor performance, develop the skills of our operatives, and improve turnover through effective recruitment and onboarding.
  • Manage labour costs against budget, liaise with the Shift Manager and on-site agency to ensure each day we are well prepared and manned to meet demand.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading and managing a team, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a vision to continually maintain and improve the highest standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Food safety level 2/3 (preferable, not essential).
