About our Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Back-end Developer to join our growing Samsung Ads team. As a Back-end Developer, you will contribute to the development and buildout of components of Samsung's DSP platform.

You will be working closely with our local team in Warsaw, as well as collaborating with Samsung's remote teams across the globe (US, Korea, India, UK) to help implement and deploy services.

Expertise you bring to the team will play a crucial role in building modern, well-performing services which we will use to deliver targeted ads to our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend applications
  • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to refine and improve data processing systems
  • Design and maintain scalable and optimized data pipelines for efficient collection, processing, and storage of data
  • Participate in R&D projects in the area of Cloud Services
  • Establish and follow best coding practices
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to validate and iterate on attribution models
  • Ensure software quality: create and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests, participate in code review
  • Report task progress

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in developing Golang
  • Knowledge of protocols and data exchange formats: HTTP/1.1/2.0, RESTful API, gRPC
  • Knowledge of database (SQL/NoSQL) technologies (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, MySQL)
  • Experience in work with TDD/BDD methodologies
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns
  • Good understanding of SQL
  • Knowledge of version control system: Git
  • Proficiency in English, enough to communicate and understand technical documentation
  • University degree in Computer Sciences, Telecommunication, and/or similar

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Snowflake
  • Knowledge of Scala and/or Python
  • Experience in usage and administration of Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in development of microservices/serverless solutions
  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in working with Kubernetes and stream data processing frameworks
  • Knowledge of security solutions for web applications/services (OAuth2/JWT)
  • Proficiency in data engineering, especially in projects using Hive/Spark
