About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with 5 years of procurement experience and contracting expertise. Your extensive knowledge of sourcing processes, negotiation strategies, project management, and market analysis will enable you to drive operational excellence in our MRO Tech Ops department.

As a Procurement Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for execution, enhancement, and expansion of our suppliers management program within Novartis Group. You will optimize Novartis assets utilization and realize key productivity targets by aligning business requirements, operational excellence, strategic sourcing, and negotiation expertise.

You will work closely with stakeholders to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives. Your focus on planning and achievement of productivity targets, overall value proposition, and priorities will ensure that our procurement services meet the highest standards.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading company like Novartis, where you can combine your skills and passion to achieve breakthroughs that change patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day procurement services definition when no category strategy is in place above strategic threshold.
  • Accountable for monitoring and supporting sourcing execution and negotiation performed by the buyer.
  • Maintain strong information flows back to global Category team for opportunities to aggregate demand and generate additional leverage.
  • Ensure operational procurement requests are executed in line with category strategies and in compliance with relevant policies and operating procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • 5 years of procurement experience and contracting experience.
  • Solid experience in navigating global, matrix organizations, and across geographies and cultures.
  • Extensive experience in sourcing processes, negotiation strategies, project management, good communication and collaboration skills, as well as market analysis capabilities.
  • SAP or other management system experience.
  • Languages: English.
