Senior Accountant Job Description

The Finance team at GRUBER Logistics is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Katowice. As a key member of the team, you will supervise key accounting activities, prepare periodic tax returns, and participate in the preparation of annual financial statements.

  • You will verify and control accounts receivables and liabilities balances.
  • Provide fiscal and legal advice on transportation accounting, document management, and payments.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and financial data.
  • Update and maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Manage bad debt provision records and actual bad debt records.
  • Prepare tax returns according to Polish GAAP.
  • Compile reports for the Central Statistical Office, National Bank of Poland, banks, and Group companies.
Key Requirements
  • University degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting for medium-sized companies.
  • Knowledge of VAT and CIT regulations.
  • Digital skills.
  • A structured and autonomous way of working.
  • Effective communication.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of English (knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus).
  • Qualification as Certified Accountant is a clear advantage.
