Procurement Category Manager - Commercial Sales

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our Global Sales Enablement & ViiV Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and owning the Print and Promotional materials category globally, shaping the category strategy in alignment with stakeholders and business partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sourcing and negotiation initiatives to deliver top line growth and bottom line savings
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deploy strategies globally/regionally, facilitated by robust implementation and transition plans
  • Partner with one or more Business Units or commercial functions to drive business impact
  • Manage key suppliers within areas of responsibility, driving performance, value and innovation to the business
  • Keep abreast of external market changes, innovations and opportunities that GSK could take advantage of
  • Ensure GSK's Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner in the area of responsibility
Requirements:
  • University degree
  • 5+ years of relevant procurement experience
  • Full proficiency in English
  • Business stakeholder management and influencing, this includes the ability to build strong relationships and to influence without express authority
  • Able to drive and deliver business impacting cost savings
  • Ability and track record to manage contract negotiations
  • Experience leading end to end supplier tender/RFP/competitive bid processes
  • Procurement expertise in commercial and contract negotiations, with a track record of managing end to end contract negotiations with favourable outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Procurement experience within the Pharma industry
  • Previous experience across commercial or medical engagement spend categories
  • Indirect category management, cost model synthesis and supplier relationship management for delivering multi-country, high spend complex engagements
  • Demonstrated success in delivering a multi-year strategy ensuring competitive commercial advantage
  • Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen
