Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Architect and Technical Lead to spearhead technical analysis, design, engineering, and documentation for our Cloud Center of Excellence (COE). With a strong background in financial services, the successful candidate will possess a proven track-record of delivering complex IT solutions where attention to detail and analytical capabilities are crucial.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing Cloud infrastructure, data models, and data LakeHouse architecture.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements, data, and systems involved to create or enhance the Cloud data LakeHouse and web architecture.
  • Deliver high-quality, detailed technical documentation, including system design, workflow diagrams, and technical roadmaps within set milestones.
  • Provide input into development and QA teams through design documents, data mapping documents, user stories, etc.
  • Perform research and collaborate with external teams like Cloud Platform and Office of Architecture to understand and follow enterprise-wide standards.
  • Lead the implementation of advanced data analytics and AI/ML use cases using Cloud infrastructure.
  • Guide a team of data analysts, data engineers, and QA professionals, providing guidance during analysis, development, and testing.
  • Contribute to the design and testing of new functionality.
  • Oversee application ownership and/or work with an application owner to create and maintain topology, application infrastructure, comply with application standards, maintain applications in systems like AIW and cloud portal, as well as create and maintain design tollgates.
  • Work closely with the delivery lead to ensure project delivery within designated budget and timelines.
  • Present analysis, design, and status to senior management in technology and business groups.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Technical Business/System Analyst and/or Application Lead in financial services.
  • Relevant experience with databases, data warehouses, and/or Cloud data lake.
  • High self-motivation with good analytical capabilities.
  • Willingsness to learn and eagerness to collaborate as part of a larger team.
  • Confident and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to any audience.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Techincal competence with ability to code in SQL and/or Python.
  • Power user of design and analysis tools Excel, Visio, Draw.io, PowerBI, etc.
  • Familiarity working with Cloud hosting solutions. AWS and Databricks preferred.
