The Role

We are seeking a skilled senior technical administrator to join our dynamic team and lead the maintenance of our customer's backup infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining hardware configurations and architectures
• Managing storage devices, backup tools, and corresponding applications
• Performing periodic analysis of vulnerabilities and risk assessments
• Coordinating updates and patches with providers
• Capacity and performance planning of infrastructure components

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in Backup & Storage domain within large environments
• University degree or equivalent through experience and professional training
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, strong communication skills, and process-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English (B2 level) and French as an asset
• Strong problem-solving skills, time management, and ability to work independently

Professional Skills

• Backup: Commvault, Brocade, Hitachi, NetApp ONTAP, DELL EMC Isilon/PowerScale
• S3 protocol/Object Storage knowledge - Cloudian, Storage Grid
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology, ITIL 4, Disaster Recovery exercises
• Plus: Perl, Python, Ansible scripts, Superna Eyeglass DR

Technical Knowledge and Certifications

• Analysis and proposal of configuration for deployment
• Architecture and reference configuration definition
• CMDB maintenance, decommissioning, data migration
• Set-up and maintenance of storage devices, backup tools, policies
• Zoning, port configurations, standards-based deployments
• Installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, reporting
• Periodic analysis of vulnerabilities, risk assessment, reporting
