Summary

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking an Aeronautical Analyst to join our team in updating and maintaining the navigational database used by NAVBLUE’s flight planning system.

  • Responsible for analyzing aeronautical State Publications to update the worldwide Navigation database.
  • Update Navigation data in line with DQRs.
  • Answer customer queries relating to data supplied.
  • Communicate effectively within the team to meet team objectives.
  • Collaborate with other teams in the Navigation department to align scheduled workload.
  • Clarify source data problems from various countries’ Aeronautical Information Departments.
  • Liaise with relevant departments for any queries or source data problems.
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the aviation industry, preferably OCC. Previous experience in Commercial Flight Operations as a Dispatcher, Operations Controller, or pilot is an asset.

  • Ability to decode METAR, TAF, and NOTAMs.
  • Working knowledge of AIP, enroute charts, and procedure plates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in safety-critical and repetitive tasks.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Capability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
  • Professional behavior and good work ethic.
  • Ability to learn, implement, and manage new concepts, tools, and processes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills

Candidates with experience in cartography, geography, or the air navigation industry will be given preference.

  • Cartography, Geography, or air navigation industry experience.
  • Interest in the aviation industry.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and SAFe methodologies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an educated background, preferably A level or equivalent, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geography, GIS, or Aeronautics.

  • IT literate.
