We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Data Architect to join our Data Engineering team at Kingfisher Plc.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to cover all facets of technology within our company, ensuring continued service delivery versus expectations while utilizing your understanding of engineering stages of a data platform.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develops and constructs data assets and services, integrating them into systems and business processes.
  • Builds/develops the solution within the Product team following technical and functional specifications.
  • Actively seeks to drive a team spirit delivering the Sprint on time and for the planned demand.
  • Contributes to code peer review to ensure the integrity and stability of the data platform.
  • Provides urgent support and escalation for any issues in the production environment.
Requirements:
  • Developer/engineering background in large-scale distributed data processing systems.
  • Knowledgeable about data modelling, governance, security, access, and storage.
  • Programming in Python.
  • Experience with cloud data technologies on Azure or AWS.
