Job Title: Chief Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team at Vantiva. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, including the creation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, as well as the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Polish accounting act and International Financial Reporting Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure timely completion of financial statements.
  • Represent the company in front of auditors, state authorities, and financial institutions.
  • Support the accounting team with reporting according to International Financial Reporting Standards in the consolidation system.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements and maintain a risk and control environment.
  • Measure the effectiveness of accounting processes and suggest improvements.
  • Support tax compliance in cooperation with external advisors.
  • Provide decision support around financial and accounting solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Chief Accountant or independent accountant.
  • Very good knowledge of the Polish Accounting Act and IFRS.
  • Experience in accounting for production companies is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Polish Corporate Income Tax Act regulations.
  • Experience in audit is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting systems and applications.
  • Computer literacy, especially MS Excel is a must.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to think analytically.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
