About the Role

ING is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Sectors. As a key member of our Wholesale Banking team, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance and steering local sector P&L targets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement country sector strategy, ensuring alignment with ING's overall Wholesale Banking strategy and global sector strategy.
  • Lead the management of ABCD EMEA revenues and economic income.
  • Build and maintain engagement with clients at senior executive levels, leveraging the network across functions, country, and products.
  • Manage Dynamic Plan, emphasizing profitable growth in line with strategy.
  • Direct the implementation of country sector business strategy in coordination with regional Sector Coverage heads, regional functional heads, and stakeholders in Risk and Products.
  • Develop senior level relationships with individuals at varied businesses, Investment firms, governments, and other financial institutions.
  • Work directly with team heads to increase profitability, returns, and cross-buy opportunities.
  • Provide senior representation and thought leadership externally.
  • Maintain robust risk culture and performance of the sectors within the region and country.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in line with ING procedures.
  • Attract, engage, and develop talent, building high-performing teams.

About You

  • You have a strong understanding of the Wholesale Banking market and extensive knowledge of Wholesale Banking products and Risk management.
  • You are a people manager with experience in a complex matrix organization.
  • You have a proven track record of steering an end-to-end organization.
  • You possess strong commercial acumen and the ability to execute.
  • You have wealth of deal/transaction experience, market participant knowledge, and a proven ability to assist in the winning of new business.
  • You are highly experienced in complex stakeholder management.
  • You have good knowledge/experience of regulatory requirements and risks.
