Accounting Process Specialist

Wilhelmsen Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Process Specialist to lead our Accounts Payable team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating AP processes, ensuring timely payments to our suppliers, and maintaining excellent internal and external customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of professionals in AP processes, including setting individual and team goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Supervise and coordinate AP processes, including invoice processing, account posting, and period-end closing activities.
  • Monitor current workload in the team and evaluate the effectiveness of the team, ensuring the right task split and business continuity.
  • Support the AP team with accounting and process experience, ensuring best practice across all AP tasks.
  • Maintain excellent internal and external customer relationships through effective and timely communication.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience in SSC/BPO.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Team Leader/Coordinator/Senior.
  • Education related to economics, finance, or accountancy.
  • Excellent understanding of AP processes and proven ability to constantly improve these processes.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve issues impacting different interconnected systems.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Ability to build good relationships with different stakeholders.
