We are seeking an experienced Medical Writer to join our team of experts working for a prominent pharmaceutical company. As a key member of our content development group, you will oversee quality content creation, provide project and scientific guidance internally and externally on current and new business projects.

The role involves:

  • Analyzing data from publications and clinical trials to inform content strategies across various geographies
  • Conducting comprehensive research in medical databases to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Verifying data for promotional and educational materials intended for healthcare professionals and patients, encompassing a range of formats including slide decks, posters, peer-reviewed publications, leaflets, and websites
  • Collaborating on abstracts, posters, and publications development under the guidance of senior staff
  • Managing multiple parallel projects in different disease areas simultaneously

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in life sciences (preferably a Master's, MD, PhD, or BPharm)
  • A native level of English (C2), with knowledge of other languages being an asset
  • Experience as a Medical Writer in an advertising agency, communication agency, or the pharmaceutical sector
  • Previous experience as an evidence synthesis or data analyst would be advantageous
  • Understanding of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, including relevant codes and guidelines
  • Ability to provide scientific support for pitch research
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient communication abilities
  • Flexibility to work collaboratively or independently, with good organizational skills, attention to detail, and calm under pressure
  • Capacity to offer scientific counsel to clients and internal teams regarding complex narratives and portfolio messaging development

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Interaction with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Resolving difficult conversations, both internal and external, in a constructive manner
  • Establishing strong relationships with external scientific experts and client teams
  • Closely interacting with the account lead and scientific strategist to provide holistic account oversight and set priorities reflecting account deadlines and evolving needs
  • Leading scientific presentations with confidence
