We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Warsaw or San Francisco. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, working closely with Data Science and other teams to create a scalable and efficient data platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new data pipelines to create TV ad impressions and viewership datasets, leveraging Python and Apache Spark on Databricks.
  • Automate business processes and support data visualization using Airflow and Terraform.
  • Analyze and improve data collection, storage, and retrieval processes for core systems, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and stability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop tools and frameworks for self-service analytics.
  • Improve observability and monitoring of production processes by instrumenting code and creating services that expose pipeline job and dataset state.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of industry experience with intermediate to advanced Python skills or equivalent expertise in another modern programming language.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with distributed teams across time zones.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud computing principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
  • Prior experience with large-scale data processing frameworks like Apache Spark is a plus.
