We're seeking a seasoned Data Solutions Engineer to join our team in Kraków, Poland. As a key member of our data organization, you'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

At Kitopi, we're revolutionizing the food industry with cutting-edge software solutions and a commitment to data-driven decision-making. Our data engineering practice is built around data verticals and horizontals, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. As a data engineer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including analysts, ML engineers, BI specialists, data modelers, platform engineers, and backend engineers.

Your primary focus will be on:

  • Designing, building, and scaling data ingestion, preparation, modeling, and aggregation in our Snowflake-based data warehouse, adhering to industry best practices and ensuring high-quality data.
  • Contributing to the improvement of existing data products and participating in proof-of-concepts for new data products, leveraging your expertise in SQL, analytical data warehouses, and ETL/ELT best practices.

You'll also have opportunities to:

  • Collaborate with Horizontal Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data Modelers to develop scalable data pipelines and maintain infrastructure.
  • Work closely with Data Vertical Leaders and Data Analysts to gain domain knowledge and identify opportunities for building effective data solutions.
  • Build programmatic solutions using GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes, and integrate them into our cloud computing environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive view of customer interactions to enable personalization and improve user experience through reliable data.

We're looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in production-quality code development, preferably in a high-growth consumer product company.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SQL, analytical data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), and ETL/ELT best practices at scale.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools like Airflow, Airbyte, and DBT.
  • Strong data modeling skills and familiarity with the Kimball methodology.
  • Knowledge of testing methods, automation, and good practices within data warehousing.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including ESOP, flexible employment options, and top-notch equipment.
