Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Expert for Non-Life Insurance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying internal risk models for ERGO Group for non-life insurance using Igloo modelling software.

The role involves carrying out the parameterization and validation of the internal models for non-life entities in ERGO Group, providing the basis for risk-based decisions of the management. Additionally, the candidate will gain a deep understanding of the models for natural catastrophe risks and integrate the knowledge into the business departments.

The selected candidate will also support the preparation of regular and ad-hoc risk reports and contribute to the actuarial claims reserving process.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in natural sciences, economics or comparable education with a focus on mathematics;
  • Professional experience (at least 3 years) in non-life insurance in one of the following fields: risk management, actuarial modeling, or reinsurance;
  • Familiarity with risk models and their application in the insurance industry;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
