We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Mission Control team in Splunk Enterprise Security. This team is responsible for delivering analytics-driven SIEM solutions that address a wide range of security analytics and security operations use cases.

As an Engineering Manager, you will drive and implement mission control deliverables for the security roadmap, enrich and empower others to their fullest potential. You will work directly with customers, meeting them as they share their experiences and get a first-person view of the state of the art Security Operations Centers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating technical concepts effectively to non-technical partners
  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams, crafting technical strategy and roadmap
  • Guiding the team on making the right technical decisions on design, long term scalability and maintenance of the product
  • Driving the roadmap execution
  • Defining project scopes, timelines and ensuring alignment with the business objectives
  • Inspiring and empowering the team
  • Being responsible for the entire software development lifecycle
  • Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback and guiding career development for team members
  • Mentoring the development team, ensuring the implementation of best practices, design principles and coding standards

Requirements include:

  • 2+ years as a Software Engineering Manager
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in the IT industry
  • Demonstrated communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written
  • Consistent track record of building, mentoring and developing effective teams
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to prioritize in fast paced environment
