The Payroll Specialist collaborates effectively within a dynamic team, responsible for collecting and processing payroll data in a timely and accurate manner. This involves handling end-to-end processing for payrolls across various countries within Smith & Nephew's global setup. Key responsibilities include data entry and system updates in Workday and local payroll systems, managing interfaces between Workday and local payroll systems, and executing outbound vendor interfaces.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Enter and review payroll data on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain employee records in the Workday system, collaborating with HR personnel to ensure seamless updates.
  • Manage interfaces and reports between Workday HR and local payroll systems, guaranteeing smooth communication and data flow.
  • Conduct thorough audits of payroll data entry and employee status changes to ensure precision before executing payroll processes.
  • Administer employee deductions such as garnishments, insurances, and taxes, adhering to regulations and remitting to the relevant agencies.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects related to system upgrades for Workday, local Payroll, and Time & Attendance systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • In-depth understanding and experience in managing end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail in executing tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear and concise interaction within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
