Job Description

We are seeking an experienced candidate for the Senior Scientist position to join our developing High Content Screening facility within a large project initially focused on assay development in the areas of neuroinflammation and fibrosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The principal role in the development and coordination of novel high-content assays for drug screening in a multi-task project
  • Supervise cell cultures in ongoing projects and eventually hands-on support to collaborators (e.g. junior scientists)
  • Execute medium to high-throughput assays for drug discovery and further compound pharmacological characterization
  • Work collaboratively with other scientists in particular for the generation of new scripts or analytical AI and Machine Learning-based methods for high-content analysis
  • Execute, troubleshoot and communicate tasks independently and effectively
  • Perform data analysis and write reports on research findings, reporting directly to the project leader
  • Maintain extremely organized and accurate records
  • Provide regular feedback at inter-team meetings
  • Provide routine scientific reports

Your Background

We require a strong background in Biology, Molecular Biosciences, Biotechnology or related disciplines with a minimum of four years of experience in an industrial environment (preferably Ph.D.). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry, standard molecular biology methods, direct knowledge of software for imaging analysis, and basic skills on new scripts generation for the development of innovative HCS phenotypic assays.
