Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural & Payload Design Specialist to join our team at Boeing Defense & Space in Rzeszow, Poland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural and payload systems for our aircraft and spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate structural and payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Develop, maintain, and modify structural and payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools.
  • Perform and integrate analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Manage supplier development, test, and production activities and coordinate with suppliers to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including aircraft structure, materials, and properties, design criteria, and release processes.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical and structural design, creating, executing, and reviewing structural design models.
  • 2+ years of experience presenting to employees, customers, peers, and all levels of leadership.
  • 2+ years of experience working within a cross-functional interpersonal environment.
  • Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CATIA V5/V6 proficiency.
  • Experience validating or verifying structural models.
  • Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures, secondary structures, interior payloads.
  • Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • Experience in project management (planning, monitoring, reporting).
