About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Reporting Accountant to join our team at IG Group. As a key member of our Group Finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our internal and external financial reporting control functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close consolidation process for the Group, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies.
  • Perform analytical reviews of the Group's monthly performance and position, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Systems team, Financial Control, and regional controllers to drive continuous improvement in group processes.
  • Support the controllership of IG Group Holdings plc and intermediate holding companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review aspects of the Group's year-end and half-year financial statements, acting as a point of contact with external auditors.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and multi-currency consolidation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to dive into detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience of working with diverse and international stakeholders.
  • Confidence to challenge the current way of working and identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment subject to regulatory and commercial changes.
  • ACA or local equivalent qualification.
  • External audit experience from a top six tier firm.
