Your Role:

As a Senior Gameplay Designer (AI), you will be responsible for designing and implementing AI behaviors for our unique NPCs and enemies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine mechanics that improve player experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AI subsystems: You will design and implement AI subsystems that enhance player immersion and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with designers, programmers, and other project stakeholders: You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine mechanics that improve player experience.
  • Designing and prototyping unique enemy, NPC, and character companion behaviors: You will create engaging and dynamic experiences by designing and prototyping unique behaviors for enemies, NPCs, and character companions.
  • Iterating on AI behavior through playtesting and feedback: You will refine AI behavior based on playtesting and feedback from players and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar role: You must have at least 6 years of experience in AI design and implementation, preferably in RPG/Action titles with melee-oriented combat.
  • Proven success in creating compelling and innovative gameplay mechanics: You must have a proven track record of creating engaging and innovative gameplay mechanics.
  • Understanding programming/scripting in AI design and experience with game editors and game design tools: You must have a strong understanding of programming/scripting languages used in AI design and experience with game editors and game design tools.
  • Experience in working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or Unreal Engine 5: You must have experience working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or Unreal Engine 5.
