About the Role

State Street's Risk Analytics platform is a web-based application providing a comprehensive suite of analytics, offering clients valuable insights into the risks and performance of their investment portfolios. Supporting all asset classes, the platform computes advanced analytics, including stress testing, value at risk (VaR), position-specific analytics for derivatives, and fixed income characteristics such as duration and convexity. The reporting offering also includes Liquidity and ESG indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients on their liquidity risk reporting and analysis requirements, working closely with the financial engineering teams and technical support teams to enhance market and liquidity risk product offerings.
  • Develop and implement advanced market and liquidity risk and financial functionality into our current capabilities.
  • Provide financial specifications and developed prototypes for the design of new analytics functionality.
  • Perform research on developing models and analytics, identifying data requirements and working closely with our data team to determine sources and mappings for these data.
Requirements
  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills, with an advanced degree in Finance, Financial Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python and R, with experience in SQL.
  • Data manipulation skills and knowledge in fixed income trading are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with analyzing and interpreting regulatory risk requirements (UCITS, AIFMD, Sol II, SEC, Basel...) is an asset.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in risk measurement/management, with professional accreditations (e.g. FRM, PRM, CFA) being an asset.
  • Hands-on experience developing financial models and familiarity with financial products and data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in a client-facing role and good interpersonal skills.
