Job Description

As a Capital Equipment Sourcing Expert at Barry Callebaut, you will play a crucial role in developing long-range sourcing plans for the CapEx & MRO assigned categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forge contractual programs with suppliers to reduce the total cost of ownership through a long-term oriented supply base.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize equipment specifications and maximize processing output.
  • Develop sub-category strategies that contribute toward the company's goals.
  • Mentor internal customers on the application of contracted programs.
  • Manage medium to complex projects as assigned.
  • Implement standardized sourcing processes, create regional/global supply agreements, and provide budgetary support for capital equipment.
  • Support multiple facilities within the region with ongoing CapEx project purchases (RFx, Analysis, Negotiation & Award processes).
About You:
  • A minimum Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is required.
  • Similar sourcing experience of a minimum of 7 years with centralized sourcing of technical goods and solid expertise in Electricity and Natural Gas sourcing activities is desired.
  • Project Management experience preferably in a multi-plant or international environment is an asset.
  • A proven background in RFI / RFP procedures for capital equipment sourcing and the MRO field is necessary.
  • An understanding of capital equipment projects and ability to support initiatives with cost analysis is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills, a hands-on attitude, and self-motivation are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across various plants simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy is necessary.
  • Prior procurement experience in the food processing, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries is essential.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the French language is considered a plus.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
